1. Service Description

RunClaw is an AI agent hosting platform that deploys and manages AI agents (including OpenClaw and Agent Zero) on dedicated virtual private server (VPS) infrastructure. Each customer receives their own isolated server -- no shared resources, no multi-tenancy.

RunClaw provides two hosting models: managed provisioning through Hetzner Cloud, and Bring Your Own Host (BYOH) where you connect any Ubuntu VPS you control.

2. Account Registration

You must provide a valid email address to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

You must be at least 18 years old to use RunClaw. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this age requirement.

3. Subscription and Billing

RunClaw offers multiple subscription tiers (Free, Solo, Pro, Power) with different instance limits and features. Paid subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe.

  • Subscription fees are charged at the beginning of each billing period.
  • You may upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time. Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period.
  • Hetzner VPS costs (for managed provisioning) are separate from RunClaw subscription fees and are billed directly by Hetzner to your Hetzner account.
  • LLM API costs are separate and billed directly by your chosen LLM provider.
  • You may cancel your subscription at any time. No hidden fees, no lock-in.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use RunClaw to:

  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations in your jurisdiction
  • Deploy agents for illegal activities, harassment, or generating harmful content
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' servers or RunClaw's infrastructure
  • Use the platform to distribute malware, conduct phishing, or perform denial-of-service attacks
  • Resell RunClaw services without written authorization

Violation of these terms may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account.

5. Your Data and Data Sovereignty

RunClaw is built on a principle of data sovereignty: your data belongs to you, and you maintain full control over it.

  • VPS data is yours. All AI agent conversations, configurations, memory, and files stored on your VPS belong exclusively to you. RunClaw does not access, read, or analyze this data.
  • Zero-knowledge architecture. After initial provisioning, RunClaw cannot access your server. Admin SSH keys are automatically deleted. Our open-source scripts are auditable.
  • Data export. You can export all platform data (account info, subscription history, VPS metadata) at any time from your account settings.
  • Data deletion. You can request deletion of all your data from RunClaw's systems. See our Privacy Policy for details.

6. Infrastructure Ownership (BYOH)

For Bring Your Own Host (BYOH) instances:

  • Your infrastructure remains yours. If you cancel your RunClaw subscription or delete your account, your BYOH servers are not affected. RunClaw will disconnect its sidecar agent and remove database records, but your server and all data on it remain under your control.
  • RunClaw is not responsible for the maintenance, security, or availability of BYOH servers. You are responsible for keeping your server updated and secure.
  • For Hetzner-managed instances, RunClaw provisions servers via the Hetzner API using your API token. The server belongs to your Hetzner account.

7. Service Availability

RunClaw strives to maintain high availability of its platform services (dashboard, API, monitoring). However, we do not guarantee 100% uptime. VPS availability depends on your infrastructure provider (Hetzner or your BYOH provider).

Planned maintenance windows will be communicated in advance when possible. Service status is available at runclaw.run/status.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, RunClaw shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or revenue arising from your use of the service.

RunClaw is not responsible for:

  • Content generated by AI agents running on your infrastructure
  • Your compliance with LLM provider terms of service (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, etc.)
  • Data loss on your VPS due to hardware failure, misconfiguration, or any other cause
  • Actions taken by AI agents deployed through the platform
  • Third-party service outages (Hetzner, Stripe, Cloudflare, LLM providers)

9. Termination

By you: You may cancel your subscription and delete your account at any time from your account settings. Upon account deletion, RunClaw will remove all your data from its systems, disconnect sidecar agents from your servers, and cancel active subscriptions. BYOH servers are not affected.

By RunClaw: We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms of Service, engage in abusive behavior, or fail to pay subscription fees. We will provide reasonable notice when possible, except in cases of severe violations requiring immediate action.

10. Governing Law

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of RunClaw shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation first, followed by binding arbitration if necessary.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify registered users via email and update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of RunClaw after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
