Last updated: March 2026
1. Overview
This Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) applies to all RunClaw services, including self-hosted paths (Hetzner, Vultr, SSH) and managed hosting. It governs what you may and may not do on infrastructure managed through RunClaw.
Violation of this policy may result in enforcement actions up to and including permanent termination of your account. This AUP is incorporated by reference into the Terms of Service.
2. Prohibited Uses
You may not use RunClaw services for any of the following:
- Illegal activity: Violating any applicable laws or regulations in your jurisdiction or the jurisdictions of your users
- Malicious software: Distributing malware, ransomware, spyware, or other malicious code
- Network abuse: Conducting DDoS attacks, port scanning, unauthorized access attempts, traffic amplification, or other network attacks
- Phishing and fraud: Hosting deceptive pages, credential harvesting, social engineering schemes, or fraudulent operations
- Spam and bulk messaging: Sending unsolicited bulk email or messages, including via AI agents deployed on RunClaw infrastructure
- Harassment and abuse: Targeting individuals with threatening, harassing, or abusive content, including content generated via AI agents
- Harmful AI content: Deploying agents to generate child sexual abuse material (CSAM), deepfakes intended to deceive, weapons manufacturing instructions, or content designed to circumvent AI safety measures

3. Resource Abuse
You may not engage in activities that constitute abuse of RunClaw resources or infrastructure:
- Excessive resource consumption that disrupts other users or RunClaw infrastructure
- Intentional circumvention of subscription tier limits or feature gates
- Using free or beta slots for production workloads beyond evaluation purposes
4. Reporting Violations
If you become aware of any violation of this policy, please report it to report-abuse@runclaw.run. When reporting, please include:
- Your contact information
- A description of the violation
- Any supporting evidence or URLs
- The affected server ID, if known
5. Enforcement Actions
RunClaw employs a graduated response model for policy violations:
- First violation (non-severe): Written warning via email with 48 hours to remedy the issue
- Repeat violation: Temporary suspension of service (up to 7 days) with notice
- Severe violation: Immediate suspension without prior notice. Severe violations include illegal content, active network attacks, and activities causing imminent harm
- Persistent violation: Permanent termination of account with a 30-day data export window, except where illegal content requires immediate deletion
RunClaw reserves discretion to skip graduated steps based on the severity of the violation.
6. Repeat Infringer Policy
RunClaw maintains a three-strike framework for repeated policy violations:
- Strike 1: Written warning with remediation instructions
- Strike 2: 7-day suspension of all services
- Strike 3: Permanent termination of account
Severe violations (illegal content, active attacks) may result in immediate termination regardless of strike count.
7. Appeals
If you believe an enforcement action was taken in error, you may appeal by contacting hello@runclaw.run within 14 days of the enforcement action. Please include your account email address and an explanation of why you believe the action was incorrect. RunClaw will respond within 5 business days.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Acceptable Use Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify registered users via email and update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of RunClaw after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
